Chrysler Financial/TD Auto Ruins Lives!!!

Help! In 9/2005 I obtained an auto lease on a 2005 Dodge Durango through Chrysler Financial currently known as TD Auto Finance. I leased this vehicle for 36/mo from *** Scott Dodge. After almost 3 years of lease payments I lost my job of 6 years, which caused me to lose my home to foreclosure and have this vehicle repossessed. The lease was almost up and there were approximately 3 remaining payments left to satisfy my lease. Chrysler sold this vehicle, did not even tell me the selling location to obtain my belonging and them sued me to for 12,199 as if I were purchasing this vehicle! They even told me that they sold the vehicle for 15,000, with such a profit I would consider my 3 payments totaling less than 1300.00 satisfied. This is ruining my life. As of 3/2013 this has shown up as a judgment on my credit in the amount of 12,199 and for years is has also been listed as a charge off for 11,639. This should not even be legal! Chrysler has tried to garnish my bank accounts, my pay and my federal tax return! I have filed credit disputes with the credit bureaus, gone down to the court and even sent a certified letter directly to TD Auto/Chrysler Financial. After years of trying to get my life and my credit good, and coming so far, they are setting me back and ruining my credit for money that they were never owed. It’s like they want to force me to file bankruptcy! I need a resolution and I don’t know where else to turn. . Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Tomball Dodge/Chrysler is completely dishonest in their promotional "deals". They lied to two members of my family.

BEWARE Tomball Dodge!!!!!! These people are bald faced liars. Ron Thompson & Maddy EACH told my mother & father, both intelligent adults who were extremely skeptical that they would give us MSRP for our trade in toward a new car. When pressed as to how they could possibly offer such a thing they responded that they were under new ownership, had 800cars coming at the end of the month, it was a 2 week promotion, etc. So, against our better judgement we packed the 2yr old up & drove 73miles one way all the way from Galveston to have these people tell us that yes, they were offering the MSRP MINUS the amount of miles on your trade in times 30cents a mile which put our trade in as worth a NEGATIVE $10,000!!!! Two separate sales people, Ron & Maddy failed to tell two separate people my mother & father this key fact in this "deal" resulting in a huge waste of time & gas on our part. I am disgusted at this dishonesty & just reminded of the sad fact that if it sounds too good to be true it IS!!!

Another Pissed Off Consumer

I also paid off my Chrysler Jeep after an extremely difficult and painful episode with Chrysler Financial. They were extremely rude, and unwilling to make anything easy for me as a customer. I was told I would get my title in a few weeks (this was over 2 years ago!) and I still don't have it. Now when I go online I see that I have to pay for it! What a crock! I am very displeased. Why should I have to go through all this bs when I've paid for my vehicle? Something should be done about Chrysler Financial. They should be prosecuted for their mishandling of customers.

Chrysler Financial

We bought a 2007 Commander brand new. In 04/2010 we had to file Chapter 13 on our home. We signed the appropriate papers to keep our Jeep out of the bankruptcy. Now two years later after making $500.00 payments every month we went to a dealer to find out that they actually charged off the jeep in the bankruptcy and we have no claims to it at all!!! We are more then less renting it. We can't sell it or trade it in. Explain to me how they can be taking 500 a month for the last two years knowing the whole time it was filed and charged off!!

I have already contacted our Attorney. He is calling their Attorney.

Now they are threatening to repossess the Jeep because we our a few weeks behind on our payment. Really!

#419518

The attorney that filed your bankruptcy is responsible to fix what Chrysler is trying to do. If he filed the papers, he must tell the judge what has happened, OR tell Chrysler.

I just filed a complaint with the FTC about Chrysler Financial and TD Auto Finance, I strongly encourage everyone to file one as well. I am skeptic that it will get immediate results but it will force TD Auto Finance to change their ways and prevent other people to go through this experience.

#419631

Did you get a receipt for the truck stating that it was in good condition, you can take them to small claims court, that is your best course of action, I know the most you can get is $5,000 but If you go to a higher court they have the lawyer's to drag it out forever, unless your case is strong enough for a large law firm to take the case.

They took Drive Train from Me

I leased a Durango BRAND NEW. I recently bought out my lease and now OWN the truck. We went to put a service contract on it and found out that my lease is listed as the CLOSED dealership listed 1st owner and me 2nd. This voids the drive train and makes policy twice as much! I have been dealing with them since AUgust and they are making it difficult. Any ideas on what other options there are? I thought it was illegal to lease used vehicles from dealer in NV? If so, then why are they saying that my lease was used? UGH Help...

I bought a 2007 Dodge 3500 diesel, I took it to Dallas Dodge for some warranty work at 20,000 miles, Injector bad, they replaced the injector.

I went to pick it up and they told me it needed 6 injectors, fuel rail, and fuel tank cleaned.

I said why was that, they informed me my tank was over half full of water. The cost to repair was 16,000.00 dollars. I told the rep I was not going to believe that and not going to pay that. they told me my insurance would pay for it.

Anyway I said no way, the voided the warranty, I drovew that tank of fuel out with no other problems. So that's Chrysler for you

Never again...

We have been loyal customers of Chrysler for years...occasionally we a week late due to our pay cycle. Since they change over to TD, it's been nothing but hassles. They are NOT legally supposed to call your office if you tell them not to...they are harassing, and I've always made my payment and let them know when it was coming out. I refuse to purchase another car from Chrysler just so I don't have to deal with this rude company...We get paid every two weeks and it does not alway fall on the due date in time....

Well Nikal not all of us have savings maybe you haven't had hard times like a lot of us. But finance companies usually work with you they would rather have your money than a car they will never make money on.

But TD auto finance does not care about anything at all and they keep horrible records also, messing up billing and accounts. I will NEVER go through them again.

#372216

It should not matter when you get paid. You just write the cheque out and pay them.

If you are a bit short in your account, transfer the money from your savings.

You do have savings, don't you? Normal, responsible people do, you know.

Stay Away From TD Auto Finance!

Having dealt successfully with Chrysler Credit for years, i was forced to deal with TD Auto Finance, who acquired Chrysler Credit, at the time I turned in my 2008 Dodge Ram lease in exchange for a 2011 Dodge product (still love Dodge products). I was slapped with turn in fee's which I did not owe per my turn in contract and was forced to pay these fee's despite the dealerships agreement that they were not owed. Even though the dealership backed me up, TD was unwilling to discuss or review my case instead threatening to turn me over to a collections agency despite my great credit and my past relationship. Horrible experience. If TD is your potential lease holder or auto finance company, think again. Do not do business with these awful people; you will regret it! Ask for another source of financing!

join the club! Had a similar experience when I was trying to purchase outright my leased 04 Chrylser Crossfire!

Had a payoff from the Dealership (supposed to be good for 20days) and waiting for my $ from 401K I put into the Gene's Chrysler dealership where I work, to be used to pay in full. Lo and behold, they take the care from my house! I could never reach the proper person, kept being transferred from one person to another, and of course dealership did not care!! Towing company tried to work with me and them, however, they even got no where!

Even after the money in full was there to purchase the vehicle! And to make matters worse, they still thought I should pay!

This was in 2008 & the car only had approx 4500 miles on it! They purposely do things without any care for the customer!

Was with Chrysler for 9 years. Had two cars (SX 2.0 and a Caliber). Was going for the Journey seeing I had a good relationship with Chrysler.

Then TD Auto Finance took over and the end of a great relationship.

I love Dodge products, but after being offered a 14% rate when I was getting less than half of that on previous leases, my wallet decided that brand loyalty was trumped by price loyalty.

I was going for a 24,000 car that would have cost me in excess of 37,000 after 7 years. Nothing thrown in. No extended warranty, nothing.

I didn't know if I should have been shocked or insulted...maybe both.

I went to Toyota and they offered me a deal I simply could not refuse. They even paid for my last lease payment for the Caliber.

TD Financial had my records and saw that I NEVER missed a payment, the household income was far more than it was since I started with Chrysler, and yet that rate was the best they could do.

TD Auto finance will be the death of Chrysler if they don't get out from under them and fast.

A lease turn-in fee IS stipulated in your lease contract, or you would have a legal case. It is my experience that, at times, the manufacturer (not the finance company) offers to waives the fee if: 1) you fulfilled the contract and did not turn in the vehicle early, and 2) you purchased a new vehicle at the same time you turned the other in. If this is the case, you should ask "why am I not eligible for a turn-in fee waiver?" Also, your dealer knows the rules on this and has access to the information and program too.

Chrystler financial is a rip off

I had a chrysler financial lease truck and turned it in in 2005 approx. We filed chapter 13 when my husband got hurt on the job. We sent the money every month to Benton Il. Bankruptsy trustee, Bob Kearney. Then Dec. of 2010 our workers comp settled and our lawyer sent the money we owed all creditors to the trustee before we got a dime. Now Chrysler financial has put a lean on my home and our bank accounts. Even though I called them to confirm that it had been paid off... What can we do to get this lifted.

They are doing the same thing to my brother as we speak.. He has been in touch with 4 people, and is now on a long hold for not want to pay $30.00 for his lien release ...

This is really a rip off to their loyal customers that paid them faithfully and in full.. I suggest using a bank and not these financial companies...

Chrysler Financial stinks + vehicles not good quality

I bought a Chrysler Voyager 2002 brand new. Extended warranty too thank God because it kept having problems. Of course, after warranty had work done right before warranty expiration and it still didn't matter. It just got worse. I had better results with a used car than this one bought brand new. It was ridiculous. For a family vehicle you would think it would be built better to last longer because families are on a tighter budget. I will NEVER buy another CHRYSLER or a DODGE or any other vehicle manufactured by this company under any other name. They make me sick to my stomach. It makes me cry as well because I invested so much money into it because I couldn't afford payments anymore for a newer one and now it is completely broken AGAIN. I never like wishing bad luck or anything on anyone but I really do hope this company doesn't survive because companies like this are what hurt the working class people who are really trying to manage their families and their money.

Audrey, I an inclined to agree with you that Chrysler Financial is 100% in the wrong. As a consumer, I also make payments on my vehicle and intend to receive a title when I pay it off as well.

However, Chrysler is a HUGE company and you are just an individual battling a army. My only suggestion is legal representation. I am an Independent Associate with "Legal Shield", a company that offers extremely affordable legal plans to help with a wide variety of situations. In this case, An attorney would write a letter and/or make a call on your behalf (as part of the coverage) to Chrysler to resolve the issue.

If you have ever received one of these, you know how powerful they can be.

I would be glad to assist you. My email is gvaccaro101@***.com

Miserable Experience

Just had chapter 13 bankruptcy switched to chapter 7 due to loss of my job. Chrysler financial (TD) was being paid by bankruptcy trustee up until chapter 13 was dismissed 4 days ago. Tonight at 10:00 pm repo man comes to take my car because I hadn't made a payment. It's been 4 days for God's ske...haven't even been able to make financial arrangements yet, nor did I know Chrysler was now TD until tonight. I wouldn't let them take my car and they became very intimidating and threatening and told me that the financial people will hold this against me because I didn't cooperate. They will be back in the morning...I don't want to answer the door! They were pretty scary! I need a car but I am almost tempted to tell them to shove it! Just renewd plates and insurance today...how ironic.

Loan Approvals???

I am really disappointed in the system altogether. My credit is not great but I work and try hard. So I did not get approved for the Dodge Ram I wanted. Then I am at work and have some people that got approved for the same truck but with more on it. The people have no job and credit about the same as mine. Even if they have pefect credit should they get approved for a loan with no job and getting assistance from the government? I would like Chrysler/Dodge Financial to explain this to me. How does this work?
