They call repeatedly and leave rude/unkind voice messages. Even after i expain when I can make a payment, this continues.

They have called my sister half way accross the country. They called my neighbors. They report negative info on my credit that is not acurate. They yell at me on the phone and constantly threaten to reposses my vehicle.

The automated dialing system even calls me when no payment is due. This has been going on all winter. Things are tough with the high oil prices and energy. I have been running behind with chrysler rather then let my family freeze.

But I always call and let them know whats going on. They have decided to harrass me, leave nasty voice messages and treat me like a piece of trash.

Please let me know of any class action lawsuits that I can join.

If you're in default of your contract you aren't talking to customer service. You automatically get routed to collections.

It's not Obama's fault that people sign contracts for vehicles that they cannot afford. Silly.

Obama has nothing to do with anyone not being able to keep up with their payments. Smdh.

It's interesting to see Chrysler Financial employees contributing to this site. I wonder if they are doing this while they are being paid by Chrysler???

I just wanted to get my story out there somewhere and wasn't too surprised to find a Chrysler Financial pissed consumer site when I serached for a venue.

My 3 year old Chrysler Aspen was repossessed in the middle of the night last night. We are 2 payments behind and thankfully when my husband went online to make a payment this morning he did not complete the transaction.....I'm sure they would have kept the payment and the car. They want the two past due payments and another by the 5th of August so 3.

We have tried talking to them on the phone they are rude and unwilling to discuss any options at all. It really is as if they wanted the repo rather than the payments. I am a little comforted to know that we are not alone and that they are rude to all of their customers.

My husband has to drive 4 hours away to pick up his personal business materials that were in the back of the car AND pay to get them back. If there is anything we can do to get this word out to potential customers I plan to be very vocal.

It's true that some of these people who default on payments can't afford the item, but debt collectors are hired by companies like Chrysler to harass people, most of whom are down on there luck. The problem is that debt collectors treat everyone they call the same and don't take time to understand specific circumstances.

On the whole, debt collectors are high school dropouts making $8 and hour to harass people when they probably can't pay their own bills. By the way Mr.

Realist, placing a car in your name even though it's for another person is not fraud. You know zero about the law.

This is pretty funny and par for the course for Chrysler customer service reps coming on this board spewing inaccuracies and false statements about people whom they know nothing about. There are always circumstances beyond one's control that these idiots are clueless about only because it apparently never happened to them.

But there is a reason for that. They've never been in a situation where they could even test drive a 40-50k vehicle much less afford ONE payment. Many people are 3 years into their contract before bad things happen. I did nothing to make the oilfield decline so rapidly.

Many, many people lost their jobs undeserving. Most of these idiots could never do what I do for a living. Even after offering Chrysler to pay $250 more a month than what I was before, they refused. So they obviously do not want money.

They want the vehicles back. That way they can write off more debt which justifies their own immoral practices.

Then when they sell the vehicle back to the public, they pocket that money in the black. Don't worry; it will catch up to them soon.

If you really get stuck, just run up as much of a bill as you can with them..lock your car in your garage (they cant break in or you can have them arrested). After running up a bill...just make other arrangements for a car and then give it back to them and change your phne number.

They will auction your car and then try to come after you for the remainnig bal. Just ignore them/hang up on them. Eventually they will go away and put it on your credit report as a write-off. Then just dispute it like 6 times a year and eventually they screw up and then the credit companies remove it.

If they dont the older it gets the less other creidt grantors care about it. GMAC was happy to finance me a new car even with the Chyysler charge off on my report. THEY DIDNT CARE!

THEY ARE DYING FOR BUSINESS. Dont worry...because Chrysler is so bad, their cars suck, their collection people suck, they had to take a bailout from the great dictator Nobama...soon the people who work for Chrysler will be fired too and then they will see what it feels like to be called 10 times a day and harrassed.

Realist...you are not a realist at ALL. In fact, you are dead wrong.

I'm net to this board and can tell you ALL the things I read about the unethical practices regarding Chrysler are RIGHT ON. First, no one is saying they dont want to pay their bill. Maybe you have never fallen on hard times but it HAPPENS, especially with Nobama as President and dictator. Most here are complaining about they way they conduct themselves.

there are laws they are supposed to follow and they clearly do not. It would be OK if they would call even ONCE a day and talk to you about your payment and treat you with respect like a human but they dont. they hire uneducated *** who they must train in about an hour and teach them how to harass. LISTEN TO ME PEOPLE...NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER.

They suck anyway. My Town and Country went to complete *** after 60K well cared fro miles.

We're no on the process of paying them out. We will be mailing the check so they can send us back the ownership title.

This agreement is made on the phone - should I worry that after they get our money back they wont send us the ownership title.

Just like everyone else, our financial situation changed and kept us behind but now we are paying (God knows how much fees and interest they charge) but we are paying. I am just worried now after reading the review.

my favorite are the retards that complain about the interest rate/payment years into the loan. hey retard, YOU SIGNED FOR IT!!! God you people are so ***.

Guest

WAAAAAAAH! I'm behind on my payments and they won't change to suit MY needs!!

Its everyone elses fault but mine!

Waaaaaah!! *** Crybabies.

Guest

this site cracks me up...essentially it is people complaining because they cannot fufill their contracts...and for the record yes we got a stimulus...a 5 year LOAN which we paid back in 3 months...the only reason we needed it is because you *** bags don't pay your bills. we call your neighbors and relatives because you dont call us or talk to us...what would you do if someone owed you money...im sure you would just leave them be right? this really is crazy and i love the fact that you idiots come on this page to complain that you are at default on your contract...get one thing straight, we are not customer service reps, we were hired to collect your debt...dont buy a car you cant afford, go buy a used car pos like yourselves :) good day

kristi,

you sound like most of the *** i deal with everday.....too *** to know the truth but just ignorant enough to post here. Your loan was charged off because the check the ins co.

cut didnt cover what was owed on the loan.....you were responsible for the remainder. if you listen to the rest of these idiots, we must have called you 15 times a day for weeks, that is hundreds of calls, and no one told you this????i hope your good at sucking **** because you lack the fundamental skills to survive in life

Chysler has reported on my credit report that my vehicle was charged off ( not pd for) I was in a car accident totaling my vehicle and my insurance indeed paid them. I can even call chysler and they say the loan is pd in full.

now i am trying to get a personal loan and can't bc of what they have reported. neat less to say i have disputed this, but it takes up to 45 days.

Guest

pk realist how do you explain how i got called about someone i don't even know their is no way they have my name and number on any contract i have never used this company and after the harassing phone call i never will.. they would not even identify themselves just kept asking about my "neighbor" when i told her i don't know them all she had to say was you don't know your neighbors if they keep calling i am going to start billing them for a messenger service

Guest

i am upset over that call it has nothing to do with me i have no account with them they were calling about a neighbor they said. the person they asked about i don't even know.

they got ugly with me on the phone when i told them not to call me and said they could call me anytime they wanted.

i do pay my bills on time i don't get collection calls and sure as heck don't want to start getting someones elses thats just wrong and i think an invasion of privacy as its none of my business how they pay their bills or don't. next time i will send a bill for a messenger service

We had automatic withdrawal from our bank to pay the monthly payment. Usually withdrawn on the first and sometimes on the 31 also so some months 2 payments would come out and some months none.

I got used to not worrying about it after 3 years of no problems-Suddenly we get an irate call from Chysler financial about being 5 months behind and they want those five months paid now. I asked how could payments be behind when it was automatically withdrawal each month. Mr. Bates said 5 months ago they received an insufficient funds notice from our bank.

I said BS we have always have enough in the bank and I would call the bank and call him back. He yelled at me and said I didn't understand the seriousness of this situation and they were going to turn us into collection that day if no payment was received immediately. I called my bank and was told that Chrysler had to initiate the withdrawal and they had not done so in 5 months--also the claim of insufficient funds was a complete lie--the financial manager of our bank called Chysler and talked to Mr. Roy Summers and he admitted Chrylser had not done the withdrawal and the problem was their fault entirely--I called Chrysler and paid the entire loan off that morning.

I also called them again and talked to Mr. Jordan who said Roy Summers had taken all late payment charges from the account so nothing would impact our credit rating-I will never do business with Chrysler again--their loss not mine.

Yes, they call starting one day past due. They call up 15 times daily.

They continue to and *tell you* they will continue to call until "arrangements" are made. The arrangements are never a result of listening to the circumstances of the customer - yes, customer - only financial arrangements that bring the account current before the next cycle date.

The way this works in practice, then, at 8am they call - mind you I'm skipping the part that you are exhausted from talking to them for weeks already - you can yell, you can answer patiently or you can ignore the call and let the machine get it, but at 8:15 they call again.

Then again and again and again. Sometimes with as little as 6 minutes between calls.

Each and everyone of the service reps are berating you to "hold up your end of the contract". Never mind that being late and the fees are also in the contract. And maybe, just maybe, conditions have changed.

The part that is truly maddening is where Chrysler lies, acts illegally and generally operates in an underhanded manner - mostly because they are a huge bureaucracy and have their own internal problems.

CF repossessed my van while we were under bankruptcy protection. They refused to return it, refused to work with the court and still tried to press a claim against us.

Our lawyer said we have a case but since it costs money to file we have to smile and take it.

Oh, and while CF was bankrupt and went hat in hand to the gov't...CF's owners are still wealthy and *refused* to spend their own money propping up their own company.

I hope they rot.

These people are the rudest people on collections I have ever talked to. I currently owe 2 payments of around $1,400 and have another due in 5 days.

I offered them $1,000 tonight and the other $434 in two weeks. They would not accept it. Unbelievable. They said I would have to pay $1,100 in two weeks.

The rep yelled at me for almost 5 minutes straight and I could not even get a word in. I eventually told him how anal he was and I would never buy a Dodge truck ( after 3 of them) again.

No wonder they are bankrupt. My advise : Don't buy their cars.

Guest

Not saying everything they do is illegal or unethical (after all, you did sign the contract agreeing to pay your bill, regardless of the circumstances), but some of the things we were instructed to say were largely unethical. For example, when a customer said "I need to pay my mortgage," we were instructed to reply, "You can live in your car but you can't drive your house to work." Of course, I was ostracized when I said, "But they can always get a ride to work." I guess sympathy and empathetic behavior towards people who were truly in dire circumstances was considered insubordination. Collections, by the way, was not a commission-based job where I worked.
