chrysler not willing to listen to customers

Jul 22, 2008 Chrysler Financial complaint by Deanna |

With the financial market being so bad, I can't imagine that I'm the only person out there who is having difficulty making ends meet. Chrysler Financial is the worst company to deal with when trying to make payment arrangements, or change anything on your account (demographics or even payment due dates). I'm desperately trying to raise two babies while pay for a vehicle that quite frankly, ***. I was two payments behind and they repossessed my truck at 3 a.m. They weren't willing to have a discussion about why I was late nor did they try and work out a repayment plan with me. I had a payment scheduled for three days after they came in the middle of the night and took my only source of transportation. NOW, they call me ONCE a week to make sure that my payment is ready for that month AND they threaten that if I'm even ONE DAY late, they're coming to get it again. They're customer service/collection reps are the coldest people on earth. I sincerely hope that the one guy that calls me all the time has financial burdens of his own some day and softens up some what. Now I'm trying to refinance my vehicles and can't even get a loan. How do they expect people to obtain a clean slate?!?!?!?!

I appreciate all the comments I received in response to this email. No I didn't express in the email that I was in and out of the hospital for months and yes I was venting. Apparently all of you live in a more perfect financial world than those who didn't respond by telling me things like Uncle Vinny wasn't born to pay my bills or that I needed to take responsibility for my own actions. Had I not been healthy when I bought my truck, I wouldn't have made the decision to by brand new and would've settled for a clunker. Considering I never paid one payment late, all I'm frustrated with was that they weren't willing to work with a customer who was always in good standing with their card payments.
I'm very sorry for those of you who responded who live in a universe of utopia and picket fences. GOD help you if any of you ever end up in this situation and are subject to nobody listening when YOU need help

I would feel bad for if you would but nowhere in the attempted complaint did you take responsibility for you actions. You are an adult please behave like one. Live on a budget, have a nest egg, or simply don’t get a car you can’t afford. Yes I do drive a damaged car and could go out and get a new car no problem but I don’t. This company gave you a large loan, probably the biggest you have ever had. They do expect to be paid back on the date that was agreed on the contract, which you did see, sign and agree to. That is all this company will expect from you to pay them back on a date but you seem to believe that if you tell them you have two children or oh gas is high etc. They are going to say ok don’t pay us. Take our money a pay someone else. Did you even ask them if they could help you out at all? With no sign of responsibility being taken in your whole complaint I don’t think you even had close to a good history with this company. I wouldn’t expect them to wait when you are so far past due that they are willing to take a loss or repo your vehicle.
Also, when you think repo companies take cars? 3 am is a good time! I can’t believe your upset when you called once a week. You defaulted on your loan and this company was will to offer you a chance to reinstate the contract. I would assume, with your repo, are considered high risk. The companies do you look at your history. Please, Please, Please understand it is not some random company’s burden to help you get a clean slate. Take control of you finances.

I agree with "n". They loaned you money with the expectations that you would pay on time. Chrysler is not a Non Profit Organization or your Uncle
Vinny. If you borrow money pay it back on time.

for 'n' who wrote back to my complaint regarding Chrysler.....get over yourself. I find it very hard to believe unless you work for Chrysler that unless you have the facts, you shouldn't pass judgement or assume you know my personal situation in it's entirety. I'm not asking for a free ride so take your minimum wage paycheck and high horse and move along.

they dont owe you anything, same as the economy is bad for you it's bad for them, they loaned you money, and you promised to pay on time rain or shine, they dont have too work a payment plan with you, it's collections not customer service, you expect to drive their car for free, and then get mad when the expect payment.
