They call repeatedly and leave rude/unkind voice messages. Even after i expain when I can make a payment, this continues. They have called my sister half way accross the country. They called my neighbors. They report negative info on my credit that is not acurate. They yell at me on the phone and constantly threaten to reposses my vehicle. The automated dialing system even calls me when no payment is due. This has been going on all winter. Things are tough with the high oil prices and energy. I have been running behind with chrysler rather then let my family freeze. But I always call and let them know whats going on. They have decided to harrass me, leave nasty voice messages and treat me like a piece of trash. Please let me know of any class action lawsuits that I can join. Comments (46) |

Your loan was charged off because the check the ins co. cut didnt cover what was owed on the loan.....you were responsible for the remainder. if you listen to the rest of these idiots, we must have called you 15 times a day for weeks, that is hundreds of calls, and no one told you this????i hope your good at sucking **** because you lack the fundamental skills to survive in life |

Written by kristi, on 05-03-2010 14:11 Chysler has reported on my credit report that my vehicle was charged off ( not pd for) I was in a car accident totaling my vehicle and my insurance indeed paid them. I can even call chysler and they say the loan is pd in full. now i am trying to get a personal loan and can't bc of what they have reported. neat less to say i have disputed this, but it takes up to 45 days. |

| 6. Written by ddlars, on 06-02-2010 13:47 We had automatic withdrawal from our bank to pay the monthly payment. Usually withdrawn on the first and sometimes on the 31 also so some months 2 payments would come out and some months none. I got used to not worrying about it after 3 years of no problems-Suddenly we get an irate call from Chysler financial about being 5 months behind and they want those five months paid now. I asked how could payments be behind when it was automatically withdrawal each month. Mr. Bates said 5 months ago they received an insufficient funds notice from our bank. I said BS we have always have enough in the bank and I would call the bank and call him back. He yelled at me and said I didn't understand the seriousness of this situation and they were going to turn us into collection that day if no payment was received immediately. I called my bank and was told that Chrysler had to initiate the withdrawal and they had not done so in 5 months--also the claim of insufficient funds was a complete lie--the financial manager of our bank called Chysler and talked to Mr. Roy Summers and he admitted Chrylser had not done the withdrawal and the problem was their fault entirely--I called Chrysler and paid the entire loan off that morning. I also called them again and talked to Mr. Jordan who said Roy Summers had taken all late payment charges from the account so nothing would impact our credit rating-I will never do business with Chrysler again--their loss not mine. |
| 7. Written by Sad but done, on 14-01-2010 14:34 Yes, they call starting one day past due. They call up 15 times daily. They continue to and *tell you* they will continue to call until "arrangements" are made. The arrangements are never a result of listening to the circumstances of the customer - yes, customer - only financial arrangements that bring the account current before the next cycle date. The way this works in practice, then, at 8am they call - mind you I'm skipping the part that you are exhausted from talking to them for weeks already - you can yell, you can answer patiently or you can ignore the call and let the machine get it, but at 8:15 they call again. Then again and again and again. Sometimes with as little as 6 minutes between calls. Each and everyone of the service reps are berating you to "hold up your end of the contract". Never mind that being late and the fees are also in the contract. And maybe, just maybe, conditions have changed. The part that is truly maddening is where Chrysler lies, acts illegally and generally operates in an underhanded manner - mostly because they are a huge bureaucracy and have their own internal problems. CF repossessed my van while we were under bankruptcy protection. They refused to return it, refused to work with the court and still tried to press a claim against us. Our lawyer said we have a case but since it costs money to file we have to smile and take it. Oh, and while CF was bankrupt and went hat in hand to the gov't...CF's owners are still wealthy and *refused* to spend their own money propping up their own company. I hope they rot. |
| 8. Written by Jeff, on 06-01-2010 21:07 These people are the rudest people on collections I have ever talked to. I currently owe 2 payments of around $1,400 and have another due in 5 days. I offered them $1,000 tonight and the other $434 in two weeks. They would not accept it. Unbelievable. They said I would have to pay $1,100 in two weeks. The rep yelled at me for almost 5 minutes straight and I could not even get a word in. I eventually told him how anal he was and I would never buy a Dodge truck ( after 3 of them) again. No wonder they are bankrupt. My advise : Don't buy their cars. |
| 9. Written by The True Realist (from the Ins, on 05-01-2010 11:11 Not saying everything they do is illegal or unethical (after all, you did sign the contract agreeing to pay your bill, regardless of the circumstances), but some of the things we were instructed to say were largely unethical. For example, when a customer said "I need to pay my mortgage," we were instructed to reply, "You can live in your car but you can't drive your house to work." Of course, I was ostracized when I said, "But they can always get a ride to work." I guess sympathy and empathetic behavior towards people who were truly in dire circumstances was considered insubordination. Collections, by the way, was not a commission-based job where I worked. |
| 10. Written by Chrysler ***!, on 14-12-2009 11:31 The person that claims they don't call neighbors or family members as early as 10 days late is a liar. Have you ever worked for Chrysler Financial? They call family members who are not listed on the loan and some you don't even know or speak to! They begin to harass you after 1 (yes 1) day. They must work on commisssion because they are ruthless. As far as the getting a cheap, used car remark that is an ignorant thing to say. When people sign up for the loan they have the money but sometimes as time goes on things change and people fall behind. The Feds keep bailing Chrysler out yet they have no compassion. |
